Intel will pay NVIDIA $1.5 Billion in licensing fees over six years
TechNVIDIA has officially announced it's new six-year cross-branding agreement with Intel beginning January 18, 2011. This agreement will have Intel payout a total of $1.5 billion (in five easy installments) in exchange for NVIDIA technology licensing fees.
NVIDIA and Intel have also agreed to graciously drop all outstanding legal disputes between them, giving Intel full access to all of NVIDIA's large range of patents and technical intellectual property. In return, NVIDIA will receive an aggregate of $1.5 billion in licensing fees and retain use of Intel's patents.

Android phone ownership now larger then iPhone
TechAccording to the statistics ending November 2010, Google Android users now make up 26% of the mobile phone market, second to RIM's (owners of Blackeberry) leading 33.5% market share.
Compared to the numbers from August 2010, it seems as though the Android user surge hurt the Blackberry and Microsoft mobile markets the most, with Microsoft losing 1.8% and Blackberry losing a whopping 4.1%!
Samsung shows off their full HD 3D arena composed of 50 HDTVs!
TechAt Samsung's booth at CES in Las Vegas, attendees were greeted with giant wall of HD televisions, each connected together to form a larger image. All counted, there was an array of 50 high definition displays!
They had them arranged to produce a massive high-def demonstration of chained 3D video, using a computer to render the video and wireless 3D glasses (using RF transmissions!) to engulf the audience in a huge 3D plane. GamingPanasonic has announced its portable platform: the Jungle, signaling the return of Panasonic to the gaming market since the much loved and much despised 3DO. Looking like a cross between a Nintendo DS and a netbook, the Jungle will have a full QWERTY keyboard and twin touch pads for control with.

Simple HTML DOM baked CakePHP component
CodingWhile we loved using the Simple HTML DOM PHP class provided here, we wanted to use it on our CakePHP sites as well. Instead of feeling sorry for ourselves, we decided to port the Simple HTML DOM parser (which uses a delightful jQuery-like DOM element filter) into CakePHP!
